| Why
does Cat Urine have such a Bad Odor?
Cat's
urine has a strong odor because of the protein
contained in cat urine. Cats like to mark their
territory by spraying. When dog or cat urine dries
on the carpet it forms crystals and those crystals
are the source of the bad cat urine odor. These
urine crystals makes cat or dog urine removal
very difficult. When you try and remove the cat
urine with a normal cleaner the cleaner usually
just covers the odor and will think that you have
removed the urine successfully. But, these crystals
reactivate their odor in moist conditions and
you will find the cat urine odor returning. You
need to use Urine-Off cat urine remover which
can break down and remove the crystals formed
by the cat urine. Cat urine is Ammonia based.
You should never use any Ammonia based cleaner
(most household cleaners contains Ammonia) to
clean the cat urine spots because it will only
entice your cat to urinate or spray the same spot
again. There are a number of reasons why a cat
will spray in your home. Some studies suggest
that cats mark or spray when they feel threatened
in some way. This is usually done on vertical
objects like walls and furniture rather that on
the floor or carpet. This urine usually has a
stronger odor than that the odor left when urinating
normally. Cats that have been neutered are less
likely to take on this spraying behavior. Male
as well as female cats mark there territory but
this behavior is more prone in a female in heat
or males seeking a mate. Another reason for your
cat urinating on items in your home could be because
of a illness or bladder infection. You should
try and catch your cat in the act and see if he
is spraying or urinating normally. Try to see
if the cat is showing any signs of pain while
urinating, which normally means infection. Blood
in the urine is also a sign of a urinary tract
infection. If they are showing pain while urinating,
that them to your vet for help.
How
to get rid of Dog Urine Stains and Smells out
of your carpets.
Urine-Off
is the perfect answer. Urine-Off is perfect for
cleaning dog urine from carpets. Urine Off is
easy and inexpensive and it really works fast.
Urine-Off dog urine remover works on the dog urine
smell and stains in carpets and rugs even if the
urine has dried into crystals. Dogs and puppies
urinate inside the house on the carpet for many
reasons. You may have a new puppy who is not house
broken and your carpet has suffered from a untrained
dogs and puppies. Older dogs often become incontinent
as they age. They may dribble urine on the carpet
or eliminate and not realize that they have wet
the carpet. Some dogs may urine mark in the house
leaving a very strong odor and deep stains in
your carpet. For whatever reason your dog has
urinated on the carpet the outcome is the same.
A smelly, stained carpet. When your dog pees on
the carpet it leaves an unpleasant odor that your
dog may repeatedly urinate in the same area. Avoid
using ammonia based products to clean dog urine.
One of the ingredients of dog urine is ammonia
and they may well be encouraged to urinate in
the same area again.
